Accessibility declaration
Approximately 20% of Israelis have various degrees of disability.
A person with disabilities is a person with a physical, mental, or intellectual, including cognitive, impairment, whether permanent or temporary, which substantially limits functioning in one or more of the central spheres of life.
It is very important to Discount to make our services and facilities accessible to people with disabilities. The bank has worked continuously to improve accessibility, investing significant resources to achieve this goal. These activities are carried out in full compliance with the provisions of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Law, and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
As part of the bank’s activities, we launched the “Accessible Discount” project, focusing on the implementation of accessibility changes to buildings, infrastructures, and the environment as well as to the services offered by the bank.

Accessibility Arrangements at Branches
List of Branches and Services Adapted for Persons with Disabilities throughout Israel
Making bank assets accessible – Discount works to make all our branches accessible to people with disabilities. Steps taken by the bank for that purpose include, among other things, changes to furniture, signage, access routes, service and waiting stations, adjustments to height differences between levels, customization of self-service terminals, disabled parking and toilets, and more.
Furthermore, the bank works with external parties (such as local authorities) to ensure that the required changes to access routes to Discount branches are carried out; this includes the allocation of disabled parking and making the route from the street to the branch’s entrance accessible to people with disabilities.
At some branches, this process is complex and takes a long time, since it involves structural changes that depend on obtaining permits from the authorities.

Statement regarding website accessibility
An accessible website is a website which people with disabilities and senior citizens can browse as easily and efficiently as all other users. According to a survey carried out by Microsoft in 2003, about 20% to 25% of people encounter difficulties when using the internet and may benefit from more accessible internet content.
Discount believes in and works for equal opportunities on the internet for people with a variety of disabilities and for people who employ assistive technologies when using computers.
Information about the website’s accessibility
- This website complies with the standards of the Regulations for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Adjustments for Access to Service), 2013.
- Accessibility customizations were carried out according to the recommendations of the Israeli Standards for Web Content Accessibility (IS 5568), level AA, and the international WCAG 2.0 document.
- The tests showed the highest degree of compatibility on the Chrome browser.
- The website provides a semantic basis for assistive technologies and support with generally accepted usage patterns for keyboard operation using the Enter and the Esc keys for exiting menus and windows.
- The website is configured for display on commonly used browsers and for use on mobile phones.
- For an optimal browsing experience with screen reader software, we recommend using the latest version of the NVDA software. Documents or videos uploaded to the website prior to October 2017 may not be fully accessible. Information about the accessibility of Discount apps
- Discount works continuously so all our customers, including those with disabilities can browse our app easily and conveniently and enjoy advanced online banking services.
- The bank customized the app for accessibility in accordance with Israeli Standard 5568 (accessibility level AA) and in accordance with the guidelines in the WCAG 2.0 document issued by the W3C international standards association applicable to mobile devices.
- In cases where the above standard did not discuss the issue in question, accessibility customizations were carried out in accordance with the Internet Accessibility Standard (Criteria for Success) according to the tools available in the operating system.
Information regarding app accessibility
- On the iOS operating system - The app was tested on iPhone devices using iOS version 12.1.2.
- On the Android operating system - The app was tested on Nexus 5X devices with Android version 8.1.0.
- On the Android operating system - The app was tested on version 5.2 of the TalkBack screen reader.
- On the iOS operating system, the apps were tested with the VoiceOver screen reader.
- You can swipe (use gestures) to switch focus from one element to another, or use Explore by Touch and activate elements on the screen by touching them with your finger.
- When using an Android device, we recommend enabling the setting “Automatically scroll lists.”
- Where possible, we configured recognizable elements, such as checkboxes, lists, headings, and so on. You can navigate between these elements with the picker on your mobile device (using the rotor on iOS and the local menu on Android devices.)
- You can use the gestures in common use on your operating system, such as “reverse L” on Android, to go back.
- Please contact us with requests and suggestions for improving accessibility issues. If you encountered problems with accessibility, please let us know so we can rectify the situation.
Exemptions:
The process of creating an account in the app includes the use of technological elements applied for the purpose of conducting a proof-of-life test and scanning an ID document and a status-supporting certificate. Due to technological limitations, those components are exempted from being made accessible to persons with disabilities.
