Changing the method for measuring exposure in respect of non-tradable futures transactions (OTC)
For clients of the bank who carry out non-tradable futures transactions (OTC) with the bank, an exposure framework is set for these transactions.
For the purpose of calculating the utilization of the exposure framework, established for the execution of non-tradable futures transactions (OTC) transactions with the bank, the bank uses a customary method for measuring the exposure for those transactions.
For your attention, as a general rule, the bank is expected, in the coming months, to replace the existing method for measuring exposure in respect of such transactions, with the scenario method, which is a customary method for measuring exposure and is applied by clearing houses and international financial entities.
Due diligence on the activity of the bank in the foreign currency market
Discount Bank has adopted the global code for activity in the foreign exchange market. The code is a set of accepted principles (Best Practice) for conducting foreign exchange trading.
This set of principles was developed in order to provide guidelines to promote the integrity and the effective functioning of the activity in the foreign exchange market, to promote a durable, fair, liquid, open and transparent market in an appropriate manner.
As part of this, the bank has compiled a due diligence document on the activity of the bank in the foreign currency market, which details the main practices the bank employs in this field.
