Information about the accessibility of Discount apps

  • Discount works continuously so all our customers, including those with disabilities can browse our app easily and conveniently and enjoy advanced online banking services.
  • The bank customized the app for accessibility in accordance with Israeli Standard 5568 (accessibility level AA) and in accordance with the guidelines in the WCAG 2.0 document issued by the W3C international standards association applicable to mobile devices.
  • In cases where the above standard did not discuss the issue in question, accessibility customizations were carried out in accordance with the Internet Accessibility Standard (Criteria for Success) according to the tools available in the operating system.


Information regarding app accessibility

  • On the iOS operating system - The app was tested on iPhone devices using iOS version 12.1.2.
  • On the Android operating system - The app was tested on Nexus 5X devices with Android version 8.1.0.
  • On the Android operating system - The app was tested on version 5.2 of the TalkBack screen reader.
  • On the iOS operating system, the apps were tested with the VoiceOver screen reader.
  • You can swipe (use gestures) to switch focus from one element to another, or use Explore by Touch and activate elements on the screen by touching them with your finger.
  • When using an Android device, we recommend enabling the setting “Automatically scroll lists.”
  • Where possible, we configured recognizable elements, such as checkboxes, lists, headings, and so on. You can navigate between these elements with the picker on your mobile device (using the rotor on iOS and the local menu on Android devices.)
  • You can use the gestures in common use on your operating system, such as “reverse L” on Android, to go back. 
  • Please contact us with requests and suggestions for improving accessibility issues. If you encountered problems with accessibility, please let us know so we can rectify the situation.



The process of creating an account in the app includes the use of technological elements applied for the purpose of conducting a proof-of-life test and scanning an ID document and a status-supporting certificate. Due to technological limitations, those components are exempted from being made accessible to persons with disabilities.
